Hewlett-Packard has announced the availability of its new Windows 8.1-based: the Stream 8. The HP Stream 8 tablet is now up for grabs at a price tag of Rs. 16,990 via the company's official online store.
Notably, the HP Stream 8 tablet was first announced back in September, 2014 along with the HP Stream 7, another tablet in the series. HP's Stream range of devices also includes Stream 11 and Stream 13 laptops.
Let's take a brief look at the specifications of the HP Stream 8 tablet. The device features an 8-inch HD IPS display with a 1280x800 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.8GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3735G processor alongside 1GB of DDR3 RAM. It comes with 32GB of internal storage expandable up to another 32GB via microSD card.
The single-SIM device runs Windows 8.1 out-of-the-box. It sports a 5MP rear auto-focus camera without LED flash and a 2MP front facing camera. Connectivity options on the device include: 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 4000mAh Li-ion battery.
